CEO-Lakewood is Awarded a Mini-Grant for the “Read To Me,” Project!

CEO-Lakewood is proud to announce that we have been awarded a $500 grant from the National Center for Family Literacy! The money will be used to restart up a program called, “Read to Me.” CEO’s clients will have the opportunity to read a book to their child/children on video. We will then transfer that video to DVD and send it along with the book to the child’s location so they can watch the video and read along! Many of our clients have very little contact with their children, and we would like to give them a chance to reconnect through literacy.

Want to help?

Our project will require us to have a variety of children’s books available to our clients. In order for us to keep the project long-term and involve the community, we are asking for your help! If interested, please consider donating your favorite children’s book. Your donations can be dropped off or sent to:

Stay tuned for updates about, ” Read to Me.”
