CEO to Conduct Volunteer Workshop

Community Educational Outreach Dory Dannettell has annouced  two upcoming training sessions for individuals interested volunteering at CEO, or are currently volunteering and want to acquire more tools for success!

CEO’s volunteer training will be held on:  Sunday, February 27th from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm at the ICCS building, 1651 Kendall St., Lakewood, CO 80214.  We will address specific tutoring techniques, learn more about the actual GED test and its requirements, discuss safety and boundaries while working with our students, and have time to view our program in action!

For those individuals interested in additional organizations and volunteer opportunities in the Denver area, a workshop will be offered by The Annual Adult Education Mini-Conference and Co-Sponsored by CDE-State Professional Development Resource Center.  The workshops will be conducted Friday & Saturday, February 25 & 26, 2011 from 8:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m at Red Rocks Community College – 13300 W. 6th Avenue in Lakewood.

Who should attend? Adult Literacy Staff, Teachers and Volunteers

Partcipants are able to earn LIA/PD points.  A light breakfast and boxed lunch will be served both days.  Registration deadline: February 22, 2011.  Send registration information to:
